Algorithms that are developed that have human harm may avoid liability if there is no structure of repercussions for failed algorithms. Whether the responsibility lies in the designer of the algorithm or the implementer of the algorithm, the negligence of allowing algorithms to cause human harm lies on the public if nothing is done to regulate their ability to influence decisions that should be made by humans. Repercussions for misplaced algorithms may define liability for a common awareness about the regulation of algorithms.
